KEY FEATURES:

1.Material: Made of a lustrous cotton-blend velvet in a beautifully acid-washed denim blue, the fabric combines a soft, light-catching pile with a mottled, sun-faded patina that gives every piece its own unique character and a rich, weighty drape.

2.Design: This maxi dress is built like a Victorian riding coat, fastening down the full front with a long row of antique brass engraved buttons from the lace-trimmed stand collar to the hem. A delicate ivory lace ruffle frames the throat, while a dropped basque waist seam releases into densely gathered panels that fall into a sweeping, floor-skimming skirt with a high front slit and discreet side pockets. Long sleeves finish in softly gathered blouson cuffs.

3.Fit: A sharply sculpted bodice with lightly structured shoulders traces the body through a tightly nipped waist, before the dropped waistline opens into generous volume — an hourglass proportion that slims the torso and elongates the entire silhouette.

4.Suitable occasions: Ideal for autumn and winter evenings, gallery openings, countryside weddings, holiday gatherings, city dinners, or any occasion calling for romantic heritage drama.

5.Care instructions: Dry clean only is recommended to preserve the velvet pile, washed finish and lace trim; steam gently on the reverse and store on a padded hanger to protect the shoulder line and skirt drape.

6.Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL.

This washed velvet maxi dress reads like a piece pulled from a grand old wardrobe and brought thrillingly up to date. The acid-washed indigo shifts between deep navy and pale sky across the pile, catching light with the depth of worn denim and the softness of antique velvet. Its architecture is pure romance — a high lace-edged collar, a procession of burnished brass buttons, and a corseted bodice that gives way to a dropped waist and an extravagant swirl of gathered skirt. The high front slit breaks all that volume with a flash of leg, keeping a historical silhouette feeling confident and modern in motion.

Style it exactly as shown, with tall tooled cognac leather boots and an oversized embossed leather tote to lean fully into its Old Money western spirit. A small gold medallion pendant at the lace collar and simple gold earrings are all the jewellery it needs. Leave the lower buttons undone for ease of movement, add a shearling or camel wool coat for colder days, and this dress carries you from a crisp autumn afternoon to a candlelit evening with effortless, unforgettable presence.
